We always adjust the rope strength and the carabiner size of the leash to the size of the dog.

Small dog up to 10 kg - 8 mm width + small scissor carabiners
Medium dog - 10mm width + large scissor carabiners
Large dogs over 25 kg or dogs that pull heavily on the leash - 12 mm rope strength + reinforced carabiners (gold and rose gold=bolt carabiner. Silver=scissor carabiner) The length is measured in the open state.
